He was a shepherd full of life and always positive in everything he said and did.
He championed the cause of the poor, the migrants and the youth. He defended the rights of the unborn and tended to the sick and the aged. But above all, he was a man of prayer, a loyal son of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

PRAYER
God our Father, in Bishop Alphonse Gallegos, O.A.R., you gave light to your faithful people. You made him a pastor of the Church to feed your sheep with his words and to teach them by example. We pray that his life of holiness and service to the People of God acknowledged and that this loyal son of Our Lady of Guadalupe be counted among the saints of your Kingdom. We ask this blessing through Christ our Lord. Amen

Fue un pastor lleno de vida y positivo en cuanto decía y hacía. Defendió la causa de los pobres, de los emigrantes y de la juventud. Sostuvo los derechos de los no nacidos y estuvo siempre al lado de los enfermos y ancianos. Pero, sobre todo, fue un hombre de oración y un fiel hijo de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

ORACION
Dios Padre, en la persona de Obispo Alfonso Gallegos, diste a tus fieles un pastor de la Iglesia para alimentar a tus rebaños con su palabra y enseñarles por medio de su ejemplo. Te rogamos, Padre, que su vida de santidad y servicio a tu pueblo sea reconocida y que este hijo fiel de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe sea contado entre los santos de tu Reino. Te lo pedimos por Jesucristo nuestro Señor. Amen
