February 2 we celebrate the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple by Mary and Joseph. This feast is also known as “Candelaria” or “Candlemas Day” as we will bless the candles that will be used in our church and homes.
If we practice our faith in earthly journeys, we are continuously “walking towards the light” and the light IS CHRIST! May this day be an opportunity for each of us to be the light of Christ to others. GO FORTH AND PROCLAIM CHRIST!
El 2 de Febrero se celebra la Presentación del Señor en el Templo por María y José. Esta fiesta también se conoce como “La Candelaria” porque este día bendecimos las velas para el uso de la iglesia y en nuestros hogares.
Si ponemos en práctica nuestra fe en nuestros viajes terrenales estamos continuamente caminando hacia la luz, la luz de CRISTO. Que este día sea una nueva oportunidad para que cada uno de nosotros seamos la luz de Cristo para los demás. ¡ID Y ANUNCIAD A CRISTO!
