We rejoice in the news that a
member of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, Bishop Jose Luis Lacunza, O.A.R.
of Panama has been named cardinal. This is the first time in our 427 year history
that a member of our Order has been named to the “College of Cardinals.” Pope
Francis will preside over the ceremony to induct the new cardinals on February
14 in Rome.
Nos alegramos por la noticia que un miembro de
la Orden de los Agustinos Recoletos ha sido nombrado cardenal. Esta es la
primera vez en 427 anos de historia que un miembro de nuestra Orden ha sido
llamado al “Colegio de Cardenales.” El Papa Francisco presidirá la ceremonia en
Roma el 14 de Febrero.
